Journey together
It’s been quite a while since I wrote the last article. I needed more time and energy to focus on finishing the translation and designing a cover, poster, trailer etc. Now, when my book is at the hands of my editor, I’m back with new article in which I’ll tell you why Royal wars is the greatest adventure that I’ve experienced and why it can possibly be one of the most interesting and exciting adventures for you.
For all those who don’t know, Royal wars is an epic fantasy series placed in the world which looks like the middle age of our world in terms of technology and lifestyle. The first book that I’m planning to publish in English is Invasion, a novel which will introduce you to the world and my writing style. It’s a story about war, friendship, love, conspiracy and wisdom which follows many characters across this fiction world of Bestania.
Some fifteen years ago me and my friends started playing a narrative RPG game that I created inspired by The lord of the rings. I called it Royal wars and, even though it was just a plain copy of LotR, with years it grew into something much more unique. Back then, only couple of people had the opportunity to go on a journey with Anar, Ciandra, Adrian and other characters, but now much more people will be able to do that in a little bit different form. Reading a book is not the same as acting and directly shaping the world with your decisions, but it’s equally engaging and exciting. And I have an interesting idea how we can work together even throughout the books.
I wanted my readers to take a part in this fantasy world building. Now you probably wonder what am I talking about, but let me explain. You don’t need to do much, besides immersing yourself in the world and enjoying the story… and letting me know what you think about it. Royal wars universe is not definite, it’s not completely created and formed — that universe grows and changes. New stories will emerge and based on your feedback and thanks to that openness, I’ll know in which direction the world needs to go and how future stories will look like.
Royal wars is not like my other titles, currently only written in Bosnian. I’m used to experience that world in a company, with a people who feel passionate about it, passionate about characters and the events that occur in it. I got used to listening and reading peoples’ emotions during the game sessions and shaping the fiction world based on that. That’s something I want to do now. I don’t know how exactly, but, as always, I’ll follow my intuition and the answer will come.
I want you to take a part in the growth of Royal wars universe. I want you to enjoy it and that’s what makes me even more excited about publishing this book. This is the journey that we’ll experience together. Stay tuned for further information. Right now I have to wait for my editor to finish her work, so I can’t make the process any faster or slower.
